What a great letter. I have been dieing to hear some detail from the big weekend. I had only had a snatch here and there and your letter filled me in for now. The photos are great. I am sure there will be lots more when someone returns to Australia. I spoke to Dee this morning she was having a ball in Vegas and heading for Los Angeles to meet Sean for six hours. She will be home on Sunday.
Carmel is delighted she went and is really enjoying herself. Make sure you catch up with her before she leaves. She only has three weeks so time is flying for her.
Oliver is having his 70th on the 6th and he and Mary are going over to NZ to celebrate as are Sean and Leanne. They are having a week. Mary is going to have a dinner for the occasion when they return. By then I should be fit to drive to Sydney.
Yes I did have a shocking fall on mothers day, and am still recovering, but I am nearly there. All is well that ends well.
Where are you staying now. It sounds like the good old irish hospitality is still to the good in spite of old age!!
Paul and Susie have not long left. They are doing fine.
Weather here is still dry and beautiful days - no rain which is desperately needed.
The boys will come back with very mixed accents. I am so glad they are enjoying their stay in Ireland. It will give them good memories for the future.
I went with John and Susan Butcher to St. Josephs grandparents day. We so enjoyed the whole event. They had not been there before and Susie was worried in case Connor was in some unhappy situation. They were both so impressed with everything from beginning to end; as I was. I told Connor what a lucky boy he was to get such an opportunity to set him up for the rest of his life. He would never get the same opportunity in Dubbo for discipline and all the mates laid on. He still has a few tears when everyone leaves but really he is settled in. They get great freedoms that you and I never got and of course he loves his footy.
He will be home for the long weekend.
I will say good night for now and look forward to your next letter.
All my love to Lisa and the boys.
Ma.
